I’m an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and an Affiliate Faculty of the Institute for Quantum Studies at Chapman University. My primary research interests are the philosophy of science (especially quantum physics), philosophy of mind, and metaphysics. In collaboration with David Chalmers (NYU), I work on formulating mathematically precise and experimentally verifiable formulations of the hypothesis that consciousness causes the collapse of the wave-function. I also teach courses on philosophy of science, philosophy of quantum physics, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, logic, and the history of 20th century analytic philosophy.
